Default New Honeycomb Grids - 12-27-2009, 04:41 PM

got some honeycomb grids for my alienbees. did a quick test in my room to see how they looked. Light is about 3-4 feet away from subject, as am i. using the plain silver reflector. Camera settings and light power stayed constant. such simple modifications make such a huge difference.

no grid

40° grid

30° grid

20° grid

10° grid

Thanks for the info.

It prompted me to order the 10 degree grid. Been trying to jury rig a spot type modifier and this seems to be just what I'm looking for.

p.s. Try taking two of the 7inch reflectors, tape them together front to front and they will act as an unfocused spot light.

Thanks guys. Thanks a lot.
Now I have other things I need to spend money on, for my new Alien Bee that I got for Christmas.

Some people hunt with a gun. I use a Canon.
