Default Which LCD monitor for photo & video editing - 12-13-2009, 09:00 PM

Does anyone have any experience with the wide (97.8%) Adobe color gamut monitors, such as the NEC 2690WUXi2? I read in number of blogs that a wide gamut monitor will be an issue when printing your image. But ok if you display on a photo web site. Is the wide gamut "issue" really an issue? I haven't really looked at any of the Dell monitors yet. Any recommendation on a specific 24" or larger LCD Dell monitor? BTW, I will be using the monitor for photo and video editing. I usually will be printing; but also will be adding my images on a website. Thx in advance.
