Default Florescent Lighting - 12-12-2009, 10:59 AM

Hi all it's been awhile since I've been on here...hope everyone is well.

I have a newbie type question... I use the Olympus E-500 and will be doing some shots in a building with florescent lighting... My camera hates this type of lighting and I'm not sure what to do if that is the only choice.

For instance my mother in law takes gifts to a group of homeless children for Christmas the building in which they reside only has florescent lighting available. What do you suggest? One of my friends mentioned a filter... My hubby wants to take his halogen lights and soften them with a sheet to not make a glare... (I'd rather not cook everyone with those lights)...

Open for suggestions. Here are 2 pics I did in my son's school multipurpose room... Neither came out to my liking...

Thanks!

Note: I did not record what setting I had these on... was playing with the WB settings in my camera... Top one looks like not enough blue to me and the bottom I'm at a loss....
