Safer method.
Buy "lazy susan" bearing and attach it to 2x4. Attach camera to it and then set your camera for whatever time you want.
If you have a remote release then you can "B" it while someone else is driving down the street.

I have a 6" bearing with a 12" wood disk if you guys want to risk you stuff. LOL, I'll take pics of your stuff crashing to the ground.
Could screw a ballhead to the wood and go from there.

well my camera strap is relatively long (camera rests on hip), and where it is attached, the camera can spin freely without knotting up the strap. so i'd spin the camera in a barrel roll type fashion and just as im about to toss it, hit the shutter, which is set at 1/2 second. best bet is to find lots of tiny lights or some neon lights at night. xmas lights are real cool, too bad you'll have a hard time finding them now...

Thanks Steve. I use to watch Tekzilla religiously, but things happen and I didn't have the time. I guess I'll have to start watching it again.

I want to see Killjoy do this with his camera and 70-200mm.
Of course he would have more camera to catch.

I have some neighbors down the street who don't know the holidays are over.

dont know tekzilla at all, i just grabbed first youtube video that had camera toss in subject. and it's better to use a wide angle for these types of shots anyway. I was using a fisheye, which worked great

Not photography related but I just finished a major rewrite to my wife's web site so she could blog about her writing. I learned a lot about Wordpress in the process. Her blog: http://www.melissaaylstock.com

Cute Roger.
Now maybe you can have her write a photography related book about crazed photographers.
To quoter her blog:
"All character names and personalities in this work of fiction are entirely fictional, created solely in the imagination of the author. Any resemblance to any person living or dead is purely coincidental."

I would have not an idea as to where she might find material.
