Cool link. Also, make sure to check out the "Tutorials" section for a photoshoot using simple lighting and the Canon Powershot G9.

Of course, I'm fighting an up hill battle....but...this always bugs me...

Its "production" and "processing" there is no "post" when doing images straight from digital.

"Post" processing refers to retouching and color adjustment to film capture images that have been drum scanned prior to use in print media.

Because digital images are not processed (ie developed and printed in the darkroom) there can be no "Post".

...from one who used to actually do "post".

Point well taken, but I've heard Scott Kelby refer to it post production (digital),,,,someone very well versed in Photoshop....It may be that the "term" post production has been carried over into the digital age....this from wikipedia...

Post-production occurs in the making of motion pictures, television programs, radio programs, videos, audio recordings, photography and digital art. It is the general term for all stages of production occurring after the actual end of shooting and/or recording the completed work.
Post-production is, in fact, many different processes grouped under one name. These typically include:

Video editing suiteEditing the picture / television program
Editing the soundtrack.
Writing and recording the soundtrack music.
Adding visual special effects - mainly computer-generated imagery (CGI) and digital copy from which release prints will be made (although this may be made obsolete by digital-cinema technologies).
Transfer of film to Video or Data with a telecine and Color grading.

here's the way I see it. My digic 4 is my processing. The process of an image being turned into a digital code is my "film" being developed. So, photoshop is post processing.

I understand. I am a grammar nazi. I hate when I hear intelligent people use terms out of context.

Basically "Processing" the image "Post" creation.. either way. Can't let the little things get to you. I call it "editing"
