Default Shootin a traditional Indian wedding this weekend.. - 12-27-2007, 05:41 PM

Im shooting a traditional Indian wedding this weekend with a friend as a second shooter... Im excited! the colors and dress in these weddings is amazing!

I havent shot one as of yet and I am looking forward to it..

Any others have any experience shooting other non-americanized traditional weddings?

Wow... that was an experience indeed... Amazing colors and attire. The groom rode up on an Elephant with a full parade band and the entire guest list as an escort.

It was about 700 guests total.. They must have spent well over 100k on this wedding... very extravagant!

Ill get some shots posted once I recover and get a chance to edit a few. hehe.

the reception decorations and such were crazy!!! 62 tables of 10 chairs, each table had a large centerpience made up of a 8"x30" tall vase filled with water and live GOLDFISH! atop the vase was a bouquet of about 3 dozen roses... so do the math... 3 dozen roses x 62 tables!! Thats nearly 200 dozen roses Just for the centerpieces.

Glad you enjoyed it, I had two weddings, the Indian Wedding and an American one. The Indian wedding took about 5 days and the american one took about 1 hour. My wife's outfit wieght about half of her own weight at the time.
