Exclamation Business Card C/C - 10-23-2007, 02:35 PM

Are they ready to print or do I have some more work to be done?
Also the back will be either white or light gray.
How about paper...what weight?

Those look life size on my current screen, and the contact info is slightly difficult to read, matter of fact the "@" sysbol looks like a bloob, but I know what's supposed to be there. Cnn you come up about .5 larger in font?

Depending on your monitor size, you may not be able to see the text. I made a test print in full size and it looks fine...and I have bad eyes!

Is this better?

here is an idea...I know this will up the cost...but what do you think of putting the photos on the backback side of the first one a little larger with a photo of your self....and a matte black or very dark grey background?

And definitely a gloss coat on the front side. Looks grand.

you may want to have more space towards the edges, so that they don't cut too close to the text. other than that, looks pretty nice.

when you go to get it designed ask them to put a "bleed" on the edge. That will give them cutting room. They usually will put it on but it doesn't hurt to make sure.

Windy - I'm not keen on having my picture on my cards right now!

Chris - I have a 1/8" margin around the elements right now.

Thanks!

Windy - I'm not sure who to go to for the cards. Any suggestions?

Atwater....hummmm let me think a while. I'm not sure who I know that serves that area. Best bet...indy print shop with its own 4color press. Kinkos will do an Ok job. I'd just rather work with the actual staff who is doing the printing.

ive used overnightprints.com and theyve been hit or miss. sometimes ive had to had them reprinted because the quality was shoddy and they did so free of charge. other times the nailed it 100% perfect right out of the gate. just depends with them i guess.

one i might suggest is on the web domain use caps so that it can be read easily when glancing over it...

ex:
www.TheBackCountry.org

that would be my only suggestion... let us know who you decide upon on printing.

i'll second "overnight prints"...i've ordered three different sets of business cards from them, and they've all come out ok. i don't like their continual spamming however. but the price is good...was thinking about getting some promo post cards made from them too.
