I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot for a friend of mine who has been skating since I don't know when but..., he called me up and another friend with an XTi to do some shoots. He wanted a shot of him doing a 360 flip in mid off a loading dock with also the brand name on his shirt. He wanted something to advertise with. So far, for tonight, these are the best photos of the day.

1. Joe posing for Statics.

good stuff. you might try shooting a slow sequence with the first and pick the best of those. what did you light the shot with? a pop-up? i skate myself and shoot alot of skaters and i notice that placing my flash off-camera to the right of the subject then I move to left, i get a nice even skin tone with no blown out areas. the second is great! your panning techniques keeps getting better and better, keep it up man.

timothy... i think youre realizing that the fisheye is indeed a keeper!!

are you still considering getting rid of it?

Yeah, I think I'm gonna keep it. Just in case you know? Hang on guys, I have more photos to share. Went out on another day for a photo shoot. This time Joe actually managed to jump over a car.

Timothy that last one is awesome but it needs a little work. Crop out the cast shadow from the lens, and selectively lighten your model up a little. Adjust the lighting in the sky so that its not quite so blown out, and I think you'll have yourself quite the advertising photo.

Thanks! I'll work on that soon. That is definitely the photo I want to post in my garage. Props to the kid for doing these crazy stuff and giving me the experience of having a board almost kicked to my face. Overall, he landed most of the tricks and is pretty brave. He's only 15!

I had the camera on shutter priority and left the aperture at 9 with flash.
